COVID-19 has changed our daily routines, our future plans and our lifestyle.
This COVID-19 has radically changed the way we live and its really challenging for us to adapt the new way of living. During this hard time, self care is become essential as we need to take care our well being and emotional.
Self care is behaviours you do to take care of your own health and can include hygiene, nutrition, leisure activities, sports, exercise, seeking professional healthcare services.
In the midst of global pandemic, the need to care of our own health in all aspects because so important. So, here I shared an ideas of self care that you can do at your own home or if its PKPP at your area maybe you can refer 9 or 10.
- Watching funny videos
You can search for funny videos easily nowadays. You can search on Youtube, Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram and etc. Tips, just search for funny videos and a lot will list up for you. Why funny videos? When you laugh, it will release your stress and you will feel a lot better after that. I usually watched Larva and Mr Bean…haha
- Use social media mindfully
Social media is good for connecting and inspired people but too much of it, its not good for you. You will start comparing your life and maybe feel the negative vibes as social media usually not always positive. So, please use social media mindfully, okay.
- Treat yourself something online
Everyone loves this…haha, in very direct way, shopping online! haha.
You can do this but don’t do it too often k. Sekali sekala okay but don’t do it always, not good for your financial. Also, buy what you really need only okay?
- Listen to uplifting Podcast/Songs

I love Podcast more than songs. I usually open my Spotify and listen to Podcast. The Podcast that I currently love and listen to are Mamak Sessions by Jinnyboy, BFM:: Health & Living,Project Thought by Hannah Yeoh… Some other days I will listen to Serial Killers, Unexplained Mysteries by Parcast Network! I love listen to story telling.
- Do DIY facial
You can do this during weekend with your friends or family. Buy a masks and do it while watching TV.
- Try a new recipes/cook your favorite meal
When first MCO, I was craving for so many food ( I am pregnant after all). Since we cannot going out easily, I try many new recipes, just try and error…haha
I hope these ideas will inspire you to do self care at home. Please do really take care of yourself. Remember, self care is not selfish but to make sure you stayed sane!
